Life
My greatest fulfillment comes from physically helping those in need and teaching young people the skills and values necessary to succeed in their chosen endeavors. We were not created to live a self-indulgent life.
I’ve lived a few lives, and done a variety of things in them. Life is too short to be spent in boredom. I’m a bit of a nerd (obviously) – analyzing and researching literally anything that piques my interest. Thinking like a designer: Identifying and challenging assumptions – always seeking a better way. So much to learn and discover!
The virtual world is just that: virtual. I find that, in spite of the magical powers it bestows upon us mere mortals, even my greatest digital creations bring little satisfaction without a distinct connection to the tangible. In this modern age we ought to be increasingly grateful for the messy, chaotic natural realm that engages all of our senses.
In spite of having spent a considerable portion of my life as a digital professional, I find great peace in the deepest wilderness – far from the confining luxuries with which we enslave ourselves. Peace always requires sacrifice. A bad day in the mountains is better than a good day in an office cubicle.
